MEET THE FOUNDERS:

CURRY AND MADISON FATTIG

Curry and Madison are both members of Apogee Strong where they learned the true value of education and how it is severely lacking in traditional schools and pre-schools across the country. Their mission is to provide quality education instilling inspiration, curiosity, exploration and a love of learning into the youth of the community with goals to expand across the greater Houston area.

MADISON FATTIG - OWNER/DIRECTOR

Madison is a UHCL graduate with a B.A. in Education. She has recently left the classroom after 8 years of being a public school teacher and has taught grades 4-6.

Since the birth of her first son, Madison developed a thriving passion for the care of young children. Through many dedicated hours of reading and research, she has earned a breadth of knowledge on the best practices of caring for children’s physical, mental, and emotional health. Madison devotes much of her time to implementing these best practices into Apogee League City East by educating both the children and their guides.

CURRY FATTIG - OWNER/DISCOVER SQUAD COACH

Curry is also a graduate of the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences and a Masters in Business Administration in 2018 and held his career in healthcare sales from 2016-2023 when he left his Senior Manager position to start Apogee League City East with his wife, Madison.

Curry has a driving passion for learning, exploring, and growing. After college, he quickly realized that learning and growing are severely limiting in traditional schools. Curry is excited to coach young people to learn and grow with unlimited potential, and help each individual carve their own path.

Curry enjoys all sports, outdoor activites, exercising, and continually learning and challenging himself alongside his two boys, Jace and Everett.

TRACY BRANDENBURG - IGNITE SQUAD COACH

Tracy graduated from University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2012 with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. She has been an early childhood teacher since 2009., and has taught ages 2- 5 years with majority her years working with 3-5 year olds.

Tracy is also a mother to a fun-loving 4 year old. They both learn so much from each other daily as they continuously grow together. He is the light of her life, and as he grows Tracy knows he'll be a bright light in this world for YEARS to come.

Tracy's hobbies include reading, playing with her son, going to the beach to explore sea life and collect sea glass and visiting new places with her son.

ASHLEY ATHERTON - IGNITE SQUAD COACH

Originally from Minnesota, Ashley graduated in 2011 from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelors in Art

Education. She moved to Houston for her student teaching and ended up staying to start her career in Art

Education in 2012.

Ashley has spent majority of her career teaching early elementary.

Working with kids and finding new ways to inspire, motivate and guide children to

become the best versions of themselves is her passion. It has been a privilege for her to have been able to do

that through the arts the past 12 years.

In Texas like fashion, Ashley met her husband, Tanner, at the Houston Rodeo Cook off in 2013. They have one helpful and encouraging 4-year-old girl and one active and fun loving 2-year-old

boy. They enjoy farmers markets, gardening, watching movies together, hanging out with friends and family, and visiting the Art

studios and museums around Houston when we can.
