NEW WAY OF

LEARNING

At Apogee League City East, our young leaders learn in a collaborative squad of multi-age learners. Our flexible approach challenges each student with their own differentiated learning plan and inspires them through real-world projects and experiences. Our Learner-Led Community puts the young leaders at the center of their learning, allowing them to create and achieve personal goals.

Core Academic Skills

Obtain the core academic skills of reading, writing, and basic math using real world applications. With these skills, our young leaders will have the tools to move forward at their own pace and enhance these skills by going as far and as fast in these subjects as they wish.

Real-World Projects + Experiences

Throughout the year, our young leaders will complete numerous hands-on projects that practice skills needed to solve real-world problems. Furthermore, they will gain powerful insight and experience through exposure to many different career paths along the way.

Socratic Learning

Our squads hold daily Socratic discussions over a wide range of topics which promote strong critical thinking, communication, and speaking skills. Rather than telling young leaders what to think, we show them how to think.

Community Leadership

Leadership in the community is a key focus on our campus. We don't just show our young leaders what it means to be educated, we also show them what it means to give back and how to use their education to help others in the community and around the world.

Real Physical Education + Fitness

Real physical health and education is a daily priority on our campus. Our younger squads practice tons of physical play and movement while our older squads start to learn and practice workouts of various kinds. All young leaders learn about their physiology and how to use it to their advantage.

Jobs and Responsibilities

Too many students leave school not having a clue about themselves or what they would like to do in this world. Younger squads explore different jobs and responsibilities on campus while older squads get to explore off-campus internships and apprenticeships with the possibility of earning paid positions.

Daily Leader's Choice

We believe each and every leader on our campus is a genius in their own way and we give them time to explore that every single day. Music? Sport? Art? Tech? Daily Leader's Choice is time the leaders get to pour into themselves and work on learning and improving the skill(s) of their choice.

Fun Friday's

Friday's are for FUN! Each squad gets to spend extra time outside at League Park. On Friday's we also bring in members of the community to share their stories, wisdom, and career paths with our young leaders, exposing them to many different opportunities through life.

Leader's Business Bazaar

Every year our young leaders participate in our Business Bazaar. Each leader creates a product or service, then learns and participates in the steps involved to bring it to market. We reserve a portion of League Park and allow the leaders to sell their product or service, improving year after year.
